The grid on pic 2 on the OP is in mm so I'd say it looks about 8mm.
I couldn't find one with cast decoration that small except for posy annual brooches. Be interesting to find a reference to a similar one.

I've no intention in selling, but I know my FLO is excited to see it and it's going to go through the treasure process. I just wanted to hopefully get an independent valuation in case a museum want it etc.
