Brooch like object for ID please

Post by howard86 » Mon Jun 19, 2017 1:17 pm

Hi all,

Another from the junk bits and bobs that I've been going through lately. This one was found on one of the fields where I have found Roman things before so made me stop to double check it.

Its quite corroded and twisted but does retain some of its original shape. Its not magnetic as well.

Has a distinctive piece on the underside. The top would have been wider on the one side but this has broken off. Looks to have been part of a larger object.
Possibly has one of two ribs or lines across the width of the thin area. Maybe a design but not really visible on the photos.

Any ideas?
Thanks in advance ::g
