Finger ring. Think it’s kids cracker one though?

Post by Me and my boy » Tue Nov 14, 2017 5:10 pm

I will add more details if it’s anything, but thought I would check before I give it to my little girl to wear.
Sure it’s toot though!

Yes you're are probably right, as the stone 'mounting' appears to be far too cumbersome for a 'real' piece, also it would otherwise be gold/silver. There's one out there though, with your name on it (which would make a lovely present for your little girl! ::g Time to go looking again!

Looks to be modern base metal from the pic, but I know pics can be deceiving.

Spud looks tasty.
Essential equipment:
Some sort of electrical gubbins(I'm told it's a Deus). In various colours

No idea
Not seen one like that with the claws almost covering the stone.
Like to see another example before writing it off as modern. Poor people couldn't afford gold or silver.

Cheers everyone. I was only thinking( or hoping)it may have some age as it was found in the same area I have found Roman coins x 2 and hammereds x3

I was fairly sure it’s modern toot, but didn’t want to give it to my little 5 year old to loose incase it was something I should be showing the flo.

I’m going to clean it and give it to her then. As our deal is that she gets the rings, I get the coins and my son gets the bronze Romans. 😀😀
