Edward III Gold Noble

Post by kpjuk » Mon Jan 08, 2018 9:37 pm

Hi guys,

I was down the RHDS club tonight and one of the guys managed to unearth this little beauty on the final dig of the year. The detail is not great on one side, so it's difficult to say exactly what it is... at least for us mere mortals B-)

I was hoping someone with good eyesight and more knowledge than me (and the team) could give us a better ID.

I have tried to get better pictures of the worn side but it's not great.

It was found on a rotted stubble field about 6 inches deep with a Whites machine. I don't know more than that.

I do know it's a brilliant Xmas present lol ::g

Lol,

I was hoping you'd be about A. Another amazing ID. We were leaning towards Edward III but couldn't be sure.

Thanks Mate ::g

Hi jeap,

when it came out it was muddy, but a few squirts from a water bottle and it turned up like the pic! Gold is amazing, and no it has not been straightened. He is thinking of getting it done. My view is that it tells a story as it is, why change it?

@machinist, I think we could have cleaned it with all the drool that the assembled detectorists where freely giving out lol.

I will pass all the comments on

Thanks guys
