ID For Coin Please

Post by Ged » Fri Jan 12, 2018 7:03 pm

Hi everyone.Firstly can i say i hope to become a very active member to this site as i have just returned to detecting now i am retired.

My question is about a coin i have from previous detecting,i found it a few years ago in my garden in North Wales and i had actually forgotten that i had it.I have no idea what it is.It weighs 23.8 grms its a copper/bronzy colour it is also 4cm thick. There are no markings on the edge, there are letters on both side but i can't quite make out what they are.The other thing is when you turn the coin over the picture on it is upside down to the other side.

I have enclosed pictures and i hope they are sufficient.Any help would be very much appreciated.Thank you so much. Ged
