Orange London Extra? Button? And coin

Post by onions » Sun Feb 11, 2018 6:47 pm

1st of all let me apologise for the poor title, the poor photos. These are my 1st finds as I'm a newbie, and any help would be magic (a magician might have to help with these). Thanks in advance..... Onions

Actually they enlarge very nicely. The top thing looks like a Victorian or Edwardian button. The bottom item looks like a Roman coin but I can't really be sure. ::g

Yes my 1st coin. $£oody hell I'm giddy now! 4th Century, brilliant. Now another question, I've only rinsed in warm water and a gentle brush off. Just leave at that? Thanks a lot again for all your help, Onions.

If the metal is sound they can stand some quite aggressive cleaning, often revealing some fine details but it is your call. Wherever you found that there are likely to be more and maybe the odd fibula brooch so it warrants a more thorough search of the surrounding area. ::g
