Here you go Dioz, I think it's too far gone even for you ::g

It will be North Devon again.
Look below from left to right at 30 degrees 1669?

I've just noticed on the bottom photo that if you rotate it to the left you can see a date, 1669 or is it wishful thinking :D

It should be possible to ID that token from the detail visible on it...but the only two descriptions I've found with the last of two letters over 1669 being an S, are a long way from Devon......

KENT
14. O. MARY. STEED = HER HALF PENY.
R. IN . ASHFORDE = M . S. 1669.

RUTLAND
2. O. HENRY . SEWELL . OF = H . S. 1669.
R. LIDDINGTON . RVTLANDSHIRE = HIS HALF PENY.

Thanks Lowland,
Dioz that would be a long way from North Devon, but then again I've had a spanish cob from that field so nothing surprises me about how much they travelled back then.
Thanks for looking :D

I wouldn't be surprised if one of those tokens hasn't been found in Kent. :D

The only thing that was stopping me from IDing it as a Mary Steed token, after looking at these pics, was the county she was supposed to be in.

Your pics (rotated upright and one with colour inverted) are on each side of a better example for comparison...

Dioz, that's got to be it, the 6 in 69 is slightly higher in both images,it looks like a good ID to me ::g

I think there's a good chance it's the correct ID...but I'll make some enquiries about it. ::g
