A mixed bag of finds

Post by HairySporran » Fri Aug 10, 2018 3:16 pm

Working with English Heritage on a site has produced a mixture of finds. Hoards of small square nails and some large spikes. Probably made in a nearby forge.

Found a small wolf lapel badge which appears to be early boy scouts and a badge of the National Fire Brigade Association. They existed from 1918 until 1949.

Lots of lumps of unknown iron bits and pull tabs and a few foreign coins from around 1950.

Is it just me, or is the face on that wolf a tad human? I didn't know the Boy Scouts had a werewolf hunting course....
