Quite good nick king Edward VII lead alloy medallion

Post by Lowland » Thu Sep 13, 2018 10:38 am

Hi -thought this was worth a post-going by the condition
From the button field
Found by the Garrett at max as usual ::g
King Edward VII and Queen Alexandra medallion
Dated 1902
Struck me that it’s in good condition with only a wee nibble to the edge.
Where the ding is shows it’s composition
It looks like it’s made of a very hard lead alloy...
Crazy survivor out of a very cultivated field.
Measures just over 30mm across
heres a slightly posher copper and zinc minter

It looks like there’s a helluva types and variations x;

Well found that man. ::g

I kept looking at that pic last night and thinking it looked familiar. I found one 2 years ago in a Welsh field x;
Yours is in much better condition though. A good example of what we mean when we save well SAVED :D
