A week or so ago I found this sword belt hanger in one of our fields,
Then a few days later, in the same field and within a 100 yards or so I found what I think is a scabbard chape,
Finally today, same field, 50 yards from the sword belt hanger I found this lovely 16C sword hanger fitting.
I'm assuming the whole lot went together and I've re united the set after 300 - 400 years apart
It's a new field for us and so far it's proving to be a belter
As usual, Q40 on jewellery at various depths.

When you beetle back it will be interested to see if anything else pops up of a sword and weaponry nature....
