after a 3 week period of finding very little, I decided to visit an old faithful permission that always guarantees a return of modern pre-decimal coins, even though it's already given 200+ in 6 months.
This was an attempt to get my mojo back and it didn't fail me. After a short 2 hour session, I had 12 coins from a George II grot, through Viccy pennies and half to modern coins. I also found a what initially looked like a nice gold St Christopher, but turned out to be made of cheap aluminium.
The 2 best finds are: A nice copper alloy button with decoration around the edge and what I think is a mother of pearl inlay.
and a lovely bawdy pipe tamper showing both male and female genitalia
They told me I’d never be any good at poetry, because I’m dyslexic, but so far I’ve made 3 jugs and a vase.

I'd say you have an excellent example which is deserving of an inconspicuous place in your over 18's display case. Regards ss47
