Half farthing

Post by Stillburning » Fri Jan 04, 2019 11:57 am

I've been working my way across a fairly quiet field, apart from a strip at the top which is adjacent to cottage gardens.

It is my first half farthing, 1844 but unfortunately the obverse is knackered, the 1822 farthing is in much better condition than most of the Georgian coppers I find.

Apart from that the headless animal is perhaps the farmers dog, the middle copper is a trade token but not much to see there, the 3 lead tokens are not in very good nick either but the one on the left is the first I've had with the dot design.

Thanks for looking ::g
