Just thought I would share the finds from last Sunday, my brother had a roman coin and a few bits and pieces so we didn’t go home empty handed. The ground was perfect again , identified the hot spot and other interesting part yet to go over, just hope the weather holds to get some more ground covered. They will soon be thinking about seeding it so will have more time until the crop is too tall to detect, I’m lucky they allow it and always leave it tidy so no real damage is done
Some nice stuff of a varied date range from Iron age to modern and the stuff like hammered amongst the finds coming off the field, every visit so far has been fruitful, not sure if I will get into the other new field this season unless I do a quick recce to get a taste of what’s there, it has an interesting name too
Left top to bottom is Brooch pin plate, and two more brooches
Second left from top, buckle pin, shoe or knee buckle and two mounts
Third from top, an unknown piece with hollow with what looks like a paste fixing, no sign of anything on the back, a Durotriges stater, George II halfpenny and buckle part
The item far right is a puzzle and not sure if modern or old, patina suggest old but the general condition suggest more recent, I will get some better images on the unknown up

Odd item, not sure what this is, thought part of a ring that held a stone as there is what looks like a paste but no marks on the back? May be a coin but why the hollow in it? Or is it just a random bit of something
