Viking from the 'Pigsty'

Post by J_digger » Sun Feb 10, 2019 9:29 pm

Just finished watching the Vikings series 5, and it seems to have rubbed off on my digging. Up popped this interesting mount with a mystical beast found in Lincolnshire from an area I normally avoid because it used to be a Pigsty with lots of alloy and big Iron. The Deus did its job, and it proved that, 'where there's muck there's Brass.... or Copper Alloy in this case!

I'm sure there will be, will be waiting for the next seeding in late Summer. It was completely caked with a lime-like deposit that took me hours to remove with a tooth pick. Wish I taken before and after pics.!
