Clean up reveals early copper Edinburgh tea token

Post by Lowland » Sat Nov 16, 2019 9:12 am

Morning all,
Cleaning up the few blank coppers from yesterday’s short foray and this one turns out to be
A token from A. Hendries tea and spirit shop,Edinburgh.
Sounds like a great shop :D
from a quick look online look they seem to be late Georgian in date ,
The square object in the centre is a tea caddy apparently!
Might never find another ::g
