I am running out of places to detect due to the crops so I visited a grass field that gives good sport on modern coins, in particular £1 coins (Chubbies).
It went well with about £14.00 in spendable money and 15 old pound coins but it was hot.
I also got an interesting Land Rover lapel badge
but the biggest surprise was an 1891 Jubilee head half crown. It was about 10" deep and came in at number 33 on my Nox 800. It was a very loud and clear signal. I have not found one of these before, the detail on such coins is very interesting, look at the small George and the Dragon in the date.
