Your bucket lister
Apart from the obvious hoards and life changing dream finds. Monetary value aside, just for that personal collectible that would give so much satisfaction, maybe a certain second world war regimental badge, a Roman fibula or a civil war cannon ball, what would be your ultimate just for keeps find....

Over the years have found a fair few gold hammered and milled coins, but the one that i would say is my top bucket lister would have to be a 'roman gold solidus' for me the holy grail of finds.
Equinox,Deus2,Fisher TW-5,Nexus MP,Nexus SE dual 9'' coil,Minelab GPX mainly after deep artefacts.

In the years I've been detecting I've found a few items to make anyone's bucket list, but the one thing to date that eludes me is a complete ringing crotal bell. I won't give up looking. Is it asking the detecting gods too much ![ThumbsUp [81/]](./images/smilies/81_EmoticonsHDcom.png)

Returning to find the remainder of "my" Charles I Shilling Hoard... though unfortunately it wont ever happen .. and will just have to remain where it is ... Thats Detecting for you,

Somewhat ludicrous to expect finding one of these but in the spirit of the topic, I would be 'quite pleased' to find a nice Oliver Cromwell five pound piece.
Cheers Eric

A disservice is no service at all.
I've never had a cut quarter! dug hundreds of air gun pellets, scraps of aluminium and tombac buttons but no cut quarters!
oh and I'd like a hammered gold, full sovereign, Georgian bank token and an AA fuze

A Neolithic polished stone axe head, preferably a greenstone one from Langdale,Cumbria, although any would suffice. ![BigGrin [88/]](./images/smilies/88_EmoticonsHDcom.png)

I have a few, a nice Roman brooch, had 3 bits of ones but a nice complete one would be great. A sceat, a stater, they must be there but I have yet to hit them. Complete bronze age items, I have a bit of a spear, a couple of axe fragments and blade but a complete one of any of them would be nice.
The rest of the WWI regimental cap badge which must be in my field. I have a fragment of it and I even know who it belonged to but I would like to find the other half of it especially as it was 60 miles from where my family came from and belonged to someone who must have known my great uncle.

I've always wanted something I can wear. A ring or pendant. BA till the post medieval nit bothered as long as it looks good.

I had actually found an early BA axehead a couple of years ago. I loved that it was 4000 years old but aesthetically it just didnt quite hit the spot if you know what I mean. Well I'll show you what I mean...
I'm pretty sure that way back when I first joined this forum i mentioned somewhere on this forum that I yearned to find a BA spearhead and a BA axehead. In less than six months I've managed to stumble across both. Just a BA sword now and I'm finished with that era

I've been very blessed over the many years of detecting 43 and counting and when I started I never imagined finding so many wonderful coins and artifacts so top of my list would be a Roman gold coin or a piece of BA jewelry.A fellow detecting colleague asked me a couple of years ago what I would like to find next and I said a Saxon silver coin and a posy ring I found both and the ring within a couple of weeks so sometimes the detecting god's are listening good hunting everyone Rob
