Hi all/ Some of you may have seen by my posts in the id section i have had a bit of good fortune in the last week but i would not like you to think that every dig was gold /silver / or bronze so i have posted s-o-m -e of the also ran finds excluding rubbish and lead which the field is Absolutely covered in and some more that is something i will remember for the future,there are hammered silver copper coins jettons tokens boy bishop saxon brooches buckles buttons etc
i will leave it to you to spot what you can :-/ Thanks for Looking Knotalot
remember i was just lucky to get this permmision and then lucky enough to walk over these finds if it happen to me it could be you next

Aye, it's not a bad idea to point out the dross we have to get through before the good stuff appears. Active detectorists know this, but those thinking of taking it up and looking at this forum might well not, so it's good to address it from time to time.

Mark you, I note a couple of elderly buckles in the "also rans". Also rans?? By gor, sir, my penchant for these will not allow them to be so categorised!

Some sort of electrical gubbins(I'm told it's a Deus). In various colours
Jenkins
Gin.

If people don't find this sort of stuff they need to turn the detector on, or give up as it comes in the territory of finding the good stuff. ::g

Oh, hellfire, I've just realised that my post appeared to be calling your "also rans" as "dross". Many apologies - I was referring to the "rubbish and lead" and failed to read over my post before lobbing it into the ether. rl;

I wish that was the case but i must admit i was lucky enough to find 6 on this permission on the 14th and 15th of August 2016 you id them for me on here ::g thanks ::g
