My Dad bought 10 acres of land next to where we lived when i was a kid and thankfully he kept it.

It is in the Peak District and I know the area has lots of history but maybe more than I realised. I'm just hoping that there is more still to come! :D

I was just saying how much I appreciate Spanish hammered coins, and had never found an English one to compare them with, but your pictures are next best thing to finding one.

Those are two beautiful coins... much thanks for the sharing.

Two Stunning coins and well done on finding your first Hammered Coins. I found a Half Noble which was completely bent in half and paid to have it professionally straightened and it came out amazing. That one is well worth getting straightened if you so desire. Not everybody would have it straightened as some prefer to "leave as found" Its up to you but once again well done, well found and well saved ::g

Great finds. ::g ::g
As a matter of interest - being a complete novice and only ever found a half penny so badly worn it might as well been a copper disk, would this fall under the Treasure act, and therefore need to be reported? - just asking for future reference for when I find some nice silver and gold coins =P~

Cheers!!!

I have thought about getting it straightened but now sure how I would like to keep it as it tells a story as it is. How much did it cost and where do I go??!

Thanks Andi

I am an amateur compared to many on here, so it just shows that if it’s out there any of us can find them.

If any more coins turn up then I’m guessing it will have to be declared but as there is a few years between the age of coins and the distance they were found apart then I believe that they must be individual losses.
