Medieval Mirror Case

Post by f8met » Wed Mar 14, 2018 9:58 pm

I have only just got these back from the FLO after nearly 2 years! I found each half separately and one had been recorded but a change of FLO asked if they could look at both halves when I took the second one in as they were similar and found in the same area they would be recorded as one.

I found each one about a couple of months apart in the same area of the field, stubble at the time I think with the Deus, fairly close to the surface.

What a great find and even better to find both halves in good condition.

Two years? Two years? Blimey. x;

Cracking find, though, and well done for finding both of it.

Some sort of electrical gubbins(I'm told it's a Deus). In various colours

What a lovely find ... 2 years is okay ... its not as if we pay a bean for their service.
Thinking here what a fantastic job our FLO's do on our behalf ::g ::g ::g

I should say on the 2 years, there was a change of FLO. I had recorded one, taken the second in and said I think they were a pair but he wouldn't commit. I took one away leaving the other. A few months later when I was collecting the other, the new FLO asked to see the second so the 2 years was protracted becsuse of that.

Fantastic finds and a cracking story. Any idea of age (apart from medieval)?
