I use my Marcus as my avatar :D it's probably one of the best coins I've ever found. I would love to find another one similar one day...... I can but dream! :)
If in doubt...... DIG IT!

I agree 100%, too many finds end up coming out of the ground & going straight on fleabay or similar.......the self styled "professional" detectorist is the bane of this hobby in my opinion.

I don't usually sell any of my finds..though I have parted with a few duplicate coins over the years. But I know a man who does, and splits the value with the farmer who has very little interest sadly in what comes out of the plough soil. Denarii have gone down greatly in price over the years, and most emperors and empress's values are between 10 and 30 quid in good condition-of course dealers will 'wring' them out between 50 and 70 but may well be sitting on them for years. Nero,Sabina, Vittelius,Otho and Galba are the one's you really want to find of the 1st-3rd century types.
So hang onto to this one. You wouldn't be offered enough for all the time spent walking your lines, researching and petrol costs you've accrued to get it.
