Well done, must have been a buzz to find those ::g

Did you find a container or were they scattered - just thinking there could be more there if that deep ::g

That is a rather special find, hoards like this usually start out being found this way with a tight radius of the same type of coins, another sign although not set in stone is the depth of them coming up,as this is the type of depth that a man would place them in a hole when laying down flat on the ground and at arms length depth.

That is not your typical purse loss, but potentially other could well be deeper than a normal detector would reach, may well be worth while seeing if you can borrow.hire a Pulse machine with a large coil on as that would give you much better depth and a chance of locating a possible container and more coins.

Once again very well done on a possible find of a lifetime, also worth keeping the location spot at this stage in time low key for fears of other possibly looking for it as well, less folks who have access to the location the better as they say ;)

Firstly - the stuff dreams are made of - well done!

If archaeologists are interested they must think there might be something more to be found in that location. I don't know what the legal position is, but if they do an' 'official' dig and find more valuable / important stuff, whose 'find' is it? yours or theirs`?`And what legal rights do you and the landowner have to any future finds on the site?
