I once had a nice collection of cod and medicine bottles, plus an assortment of other old stuff.

I'll tell the story ........

Many many years ago, about 25 years ago I think, my friend Nick came up with a theory that in olden times (pre bin collection) the towns folk would prefer to dump their waste at the bottom of a hill rather than carry it uphill, so far I agreed, he then went on to claim that any bumpy ground at the bottom of the hill near our Tudor town, when dug, would reveal treasure =)) yeah right, course it would.

So the next day, just as he said, we dug up some brilliant finds!!!

The bottle dump you have discovered dates from around 1910-1920s, Some nice bottles and relics may well be buried there just depends if the refuse has come from a wealthy area. Well found ::g
