Detailed Roman Roads

Post by Core » Mon Apr 16, 2018 11:12 am

Hi all,

Sorry if this has been covered a ton of times before but can anyone steer me in the direction of detailed maps of Roman roads in Essex and Suffolk? I've seen some very general maps but nothing where I can start pinning down what fields the roads pass through etc. Thanks

There's a .kmz file on this link core if you use Google Earth ::g ;

Best used in conjunction with Gavin Brocks OS map;

There is quite a bit in the research section. Use this search function and make sure you'll get a few straight away ::g

search.php

I know there are links to a full map of them all.

Cheers Core ::g

The OS map can be faded in and out if you click on the bluish square next to the magnifying glass and use the slider next to it.

I think it only works so many times a day.

The overlay is working now, it's a free OS map for Google Earth;
