Post by Jungle » Tue Sep 18, 2018 9:11 pm

The gaps have been surveyed and data should be published before year end.

My area (south Wilts) has already been surveyed, whole of England by 2020. I understand it's being released gradually.

Excuse me for being dumb, but I'm completely lost on this post rl;
I understand what LIDAR is, but am missing the point.

Is there an online service, or plugin for GE that I'm missing out on?

Kind Regards,

Mark now your fully awake, had breakfast.......lol

A link to lidar for you, something else to digest ::g

https://www.lidarfinder.com

This is one of many, no GE plugins far as I'm aware

Be aware ATM it's only low lying areas done by the environment agency (flood plan) that is covered

This is a link on my phone, I have other links at home on the pc, I can post some more up later

Regards Steve

Does that mean gradually updated Jungle, or are the updates going to appear at the end of the process? Some of my permissions are covered at the moment, but one is totally blank.

Sounds like great news ::g
The areas I’ve been on recently (Herts/beds) are mostly missing on the current lidar....the 2 fields from last weekend being particularly frustrating as the map literally ran up to the fields borders ! B|
Better give local FLO the heads up, let them know i’ll Be on hot dial after Christmas =)) =))

Right, now I have my tactical vest on.....I've been told they are running late....... publish date April 2019 for areas surveyed 2017/18.
My understanding of schedule is areas not already surveyed will be done by 2020. Link below may help in managing your expectations as to when data may appear.

The LIDAR servers seem to have been down for quite some time - either that or I'm doing something wrong!

Anyone got a link for LIDAR data that's actually working at the mo?

Thanks

Just tried it and it opened but asked for current location. I said "no" and now it's taken its ball home and won't play.

That happened to me the other day when I was experimenting, it took me ages to resolve that issue. It wasn’t until I tried the same thing in Google Chrome that I could see the problem, then fixed MS Explorer.

Now I am struggling to remember what I had to delete :))

It was something to do with permission access rather than cookies.

It happened to me. I got it working by going in to chrome settings - advanced - location and deleting from the block section the lidar path. I set my default location manually as the computer doesn't have GPS.
