How I read it, and going by some other courses I know about, they will wait until they have "sufficient numbers" to make it viable then announce a start date.

I see that you have already registered an interest so you should have had a few e-mails from them already. These do things like point you to FAQs, Learning Guide, and Social Learning Tips. What I did was have a good read through all of these to "prepare myself" (bet I still am caught out when it starts).

Your welcome Mike. Thanks for registering, we should all get to start the course a bit sooner with each person that does.

LL, sorry but you did NOT sign up months ago, what we all did a bit back was to "register an interest" - this is what you did.

As Oxgirl said

You should of had an e-mail yesterday with subject of "Welcome to Archaeology: from Dig to Lab and Beyond" this has a link that takes you directly to the area to join the course and introduce yourself.

Just did not want you, nor anybody else, to miss out due to thinking they were registered when they were not.

Initially "registering an interest" then having to register prior to the course might seem overkill but I assume they do not run the course until they have enough people so wait until enough have shown an interest then open it for registration a month before the course starts, but for various reasons some people that had shown an interest might not be able to do it when it is run.

Looks good, looking forward to 6 March and starting the course.

Does anybody who has signed up for this course have thoughts on the "Upgrading" option that I had an e-mail about today?.

From my view doing the test might have been "a bit of fun" and interesting to see exactly how much I had taken in but would not be a reason for doing the course. Am I really bothered about a certificate?, probably not as its course is for my own interest and not work related so it would have no "value". Will I really need / want to access the data more than 2 weeks after the course ends, probably not because as doing the course I will make my own notes.
