Stone Tools...

Post by Bargeman » Wed Feb 28, 2018 2:54 pm

A couple of weeks ago I found this Neolithic flint knife, while detecting a field near Andover in Hampshire. have since contacted the Hants area FLO, and she is really keen to have it recorded, so it will soon be heading to Winchester, for further research and recording, before I then donate it to Andover museum in the long term.

Now I know quite a few of you guys also have an interest in stone tools, so I have added a couple of links I found during my research... and if you look on the left hand side of the second link, there is even a free Ebook available ::g

Who would have thought they used the metric system, :D
Nice find, I always keep my eyes peeled when detecting too, unlike quite a few I see staring blankly into the distance.
