Detecting in the rain

Post by coinhunter2018 » Sat Oct 27, 2018 10:44 am

Was going to go out with the x-terra 705 this morning but woke up to rain. That raised the question of how waterproof these detectors are. Are they ok in light rain or is it a no no? Is the coil part waterproof so you can put it in a river bed? Thoughts please.

Hi
I have a cover for the control box that makes it shower proof
The coil should be water proof
I think there is some info on the minelab site
Good hunting

£28 for a Minelab cover. That's expensive.

5p for a clear plastic freezer bag, if you're worried about the cost...
