I've decided to buy the above coil for my X-Terra 705. Although I've been finding a few things with the 10.5 inch DD 7.5khz coil, it's a little heavy and it doesn't seem as responsive to small objects as other coils do from what I've learned. Has anyone used the Mars Spider and if so what do you think of it?

I have the Nel Tornado 7.5Khz coil on my 705 and considering that the higher frequency coils are supposed to be better on smaller targets it can't half find the small stuff even at decent depth. I wouldn't swap it. :)

Good choice to buy a Mars sniper coil.
In the past I had one for the Whites VX3 and currently I have one on the AKA Signum MFD :)
Nowadays they do also include the coil cover.

Number of finds has trebled with the sniper coil. Very pleased with it.
