I recently charged up my 9"HF coil and the next day went it to detect. Turned on and saw coil only showed 2 bars of charge. Started to walk across the field and the coil symbol was flashing with no bars. Luckily had a 11" so used that. Gets home charges up the 9" again, repeats process next day and goes out checks that coils works before going to field. Gets to the gate 200yards away, again no bars and flashing coil symbol. Obviously there is a problem with the battery. Only had this coil since September 2018 as well. Has anyone else had this problem? Looks like a return is on the cards. Not a happy bunny

Why? It is quite common for the battery indicator to be wrong. Just use it and find out.

Yes, had a similar problem with the battery but very easy to remove and send back to Regton who will test and send a replacement by return if faulty - suggest contacting them first though just to be sure!

I watch this post with interest.
Mine has never let me down although it sometimes shows low after a couple of 4 hour sessions.
Mind you I always carry an emergency charger while you swing that I made up some years ago.
