4.1b version now out?

Post by Oxgirl36 » Tue May 09, 2017 7:40 pm

I've seen on a Facebook page the they are now testing a beta version of v4.1. It is being reported that it lets you switch on Go Detect in the options menu. No other difference noted so far by the person testing it.

There are rumours it'll be out very soon but personally I'd be surprised as they'll want to test it thoroughly.

Anyone else heard anything?

Ferret has posted a couple of posts on the XP detect version which I think is a Go Detect product (?)
'Tis, yes. A company with a miserable track record, but perhaps they've been saving their best for this app...

My recommendation is don't download this app from an untrustworthy source!

Feel free to take my advice or not. (I work for a large telecoms provider and have experience in security of mobile phones and personal data) !!!

Personally, I ran this when I first bought my Deus and it was ok. Furthermore, whilst XP seemed to take ownership of the APP it subsequently fails to login and attempting to contact the developer identified that the information was invalid. However, 3 months later XP add it to their version 4 improvements.

I guess it's a "will be here soon"

Kind Regards

Ju

Been out a few times with it and seems to work fine.
I'm happy to hear that, but I'll be interested to know how people fare when they turn to the developers for support.

Cant wait for the version where a voice tells you the numbers over the phones ... now that will be worth upgrading to.

I wish manufacturers, not just Deus but all of them would plainly state what the new versions were issued to correct or update for, we have no clue the why and wherefore generally.

Unless a solid number can be established then you would continue to get the beeps ... technology is a wonderful thing in the right hands ... sadly the techi guys are still a step or two behind the actual detectorists.

Just wondering, will V4.1 update also address the Mi6 pinpointer issues ?
I.e when the Mi6 is paried with either the remote or head phones, then the machine is switched off,
the Mi6 pinpointed fails to reconnect when switched back on?
I've been told by my supplier, this is a common problem, but have not seen any remarks regarding this problem on any forums?
Any one else had this problem?

Hi! I've had the same problem with my MI-6 too. After un-pairing and re-pairing I've managed to get my pinpointer working ok....

Good luck

There are a few reports of Mi6 pairing problems on here. I've had pairing glitches a few times with the pointer. Deleting It and pairing it again can fix it (or reduce the frequency of the problem at least). Other option is re-installing the v4 software but I personally don't think that will fix it. Hopefully this update will solve the reliability of the pairing - time will tell :E

Many thanks for your replys, much appreciated.

I tried again today, and the pinpointer was not recognised, no worries, I just remove and then repair each time I go out, but fingers crossed this issue will be rectified soon!

I don't have an issue most of the time but once it starts it keeps happening. A lot of them seem to be ok but it isn't a massive deal if it does glitch. You delete and pair again at the start of the day and it's fine after. Not a deal breaker but nice if it could work each time without the hassle :E
