I only do 4 hours sessions these days.

I can get 2 trips out without a problem, whether i could still have power for a 3rd Iam not sure.

saw a mention on another forum about V4 using up more power.. so what is exactly is the power consumption of the various versions ??if indeed it is using up more power as stated
Power consumption in hours is stated in the downloadable manuals for different software versions. Under normal use you probably would not notice any difference if you charge between major hunts.

Just a thought the battery pod powering the H/F coils is quite large and housed in the bottom stem.

The battery life in the H/F coil is between 20 and 28 hours depending on the frequency being used.

20 hours at 15.7 kHz 27 hours at 30 kHz 28 hours at 55-80 kHz.

The older standard coils is only 15 hours.

Hope this helps.

Happy Hunting,

Jerry.

Hi !

Past weekend I was testing the 4.2 beta and I've noticed a big battery drain....I was detecting with the GM Power....Could be a bug or could be a problem with my charger...Anyway I'm going back to 4.0

Have you fed back your findings to XP? Don't assume one of the paid(?) testers has had the same issue.

Thanks for update, I was waiting for an official 4.1 which has been "any day now" for months, but if they have moved to testing 4.2, an official release is still some time away.

4.2 is OK, but there is still a small delay when switching over to the MI-6 probe and returning to the H/F coil.

Its no real problem, but just not quite perfect.
