Which White's Choirmaster
I don't remember any having the ground balance on the outside
I,II,III,ID or IDX

Unless its got the Bills mod.

I built the IDX from scratch so changing the parts for you would not be a problem. To be honest its a straight forward job.

On mine I used a multi turn for the ground balance. Just make sue there is enough clearance underneath

While is apart check

R24 is a 2.2M ohm
R7 is a 51 ohm

If not a little extra performance can be gained by changing them

Bill use to change these so may already upgraded

its a whites classic coin master 111 , the older black metal box type.It works fine, getting good depth and as well as the standard one I have a 12 inch and a tiny 4 inch coil so a good selection,
Ive put new battery leads on it in the past which are still working, and it could prob do with a check over but what I really need is a pinpoint toggle switch its sprung with an off setting in the centre 28 v max o.4 va max.Is there anyone in the UK who can supply me one of these switches as the US postage price on Amazon is crazy........thanks regards Russ.

There's a White's based here in Inverness, they have a facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/WhitesUKLTD/

good luck. :)
As the Germans 'might' say:-

"SchvinginbleepindigginundFindenstuff!!!"

new XP Deus/11in coil: 1 silver sixpence 1 foot down!! most impressive.

Its a standard On/Off/On Momentary type of switch

The outer two connectors have to be connected with a loop of wire.

The two wire from the motherboard go to one of the outer pins and the centre pin in any order.

Maplin, RS, Farnell and eBay.

As said above Whites UK should be able to help. I believe its part number 358-0011

Hi Russ, Whites have a great service department and if anyone can sort your machine out they will. I say that from personal experiencehttps://www.metaldetectingforum.co.uk/viewtopic ... 24&t=82361
