Re: goldmaxx power coil lug fix
That`s a cracking fix Tomo.Think this one should be made into a "sticky" in case someone finds themselves with a broken coil and thinks it`s knackered and bins it...Questions...what glue did you use to repair? How did you remove the broken lugs from the coil?And..against a new coil etc. what were the potential savings?
nice one

The glue is just regular plastic waste pipe cement.
The lugs were ground off using a hand grinder
The price of a new coil was 165
The price of the replacement coil top was 13 quid
You do need the right tools and to shape the replacement coil top and basic diy skills as the plastic coil top is very brittle and easily shattered.

Top job, it's always a fear I have especially hunting in the really cold that the plastic becomes brittle and breaks.

Re: Goldmaxx Power Coil lug fix
Hi guys,
Just wondering if anyone knows where I can get hold of one of these? Just bought a goldmaxx but it came with the small coil and I got a deal on the original coil as it needs fixed.
Any info would be great!

....I'll have a bob or two on there being no 'repeat procedures' necessary. Having read Tomo's post and looking at the photo's, the job's a 100% good 'n. ss47The420Finder wrote: ↑Fri Jun 15, 2018 9:37 pmAlso did it hold up? Or did you need to repeat the process a few times ?
