gmp question

hi guys ive just got a xp goldmaxx and looking online they all seem to have the s shape shaft but on mine is a straight shaft. . so the question is is mine a older model or has it been converted. .

if its got the straight stem its been converted,the s shape is the original ,and the new uns have the deus shape,

Many convert the S shaped to straight as it improves the balance. Try and get hold of Roger Relics video on the GMP and all will be explained and I would say a must for new users

I have a GMP and Adventis 2 both of witch I have fitted to the deus style shaft.
Fisher F75 SE
Xp. Adventis 2
Chefphones CP3
Chefphones Cp2
Evoloution spade
Bad back

ive just sold my gmp ,i fitted the whites xlt shaft to the 9" coil and a straight shaft to the 10x5 elliptical coil, i found them both well balanced but i have to say that the xlt with its bent shape and more ergonomical foam grip far superior,
although i love the feel of the deus grip,

ok guys I googled xp metal detectors and went on images and non are the same as mine.
the closest I could get is this one but my shaft is completely straight

Sounds like a homemade stem, you can see my mk1 and mk2 stems in this GMP section under the heading straight shaft
