XP Goldmaxx power, NEL Sharpshooter, Pasture run.....

Post by Bargeman » Fri Jul 07, 2017 8:40 pm

Boy we need some rain here in the south, even our pasture is now very dry, but I still gave it my best shot on a short hour after work, this time on the new top field, four fields away from the footpath where I have been detecting of late. But being the top of a hill it does have a little breeze which is nice.

So I took out the GMP with NEL Sharpshooter coil, silencer on 1. both Irons at 10. and sensitivity at 2, but dropping back to 12 when needed.

I managed to hit a few targets, not to much junk iron or nails, but I always dig a few. My first clean signal was a George 3 halfpenny in pretty worn condition, but a coins a coin. Next I found a nice silver gilt button, that had me wondering when I saw that flash of silver in the hole.
This was followed by a larger button with a design although it is hard to see the pattern, maybe it will clean up. Lastly I got a very clean tone, and dug a nice small Spindle Whorl, this is my second from this area and just two fields away from my first ::g

Walk that line, torn apart
spend your whole life trying.
Ride that train, free your heart,
it's midnight up in Harlem.
