Minelab CTX3030 - XChange2 to KML Tool

Post by Dave8472 » Thu Feb 25, 2016 9:19 am

Hi all, just sharing this extraction tool that has been made by a Czech programmer, it allows you to export the GPS trails and Find points from your XChange2 installation to KML or KMZ for use in Google Earth etc. Great as you can then view with 'Historical Imagery'

It runs along side your existing software, it is not digitally signed and I had to run as Administrator on my PC. I had to accept this to continue the installation.

As always you use at your own risk and I am just the messenger here, so don't ask me how it works etc, although I have been extracting find points for some time using 'sqliteBrowser'. The XChange software engine is using standard technology so no effort extracting anyway.

Download : XChange2 Extend

I have used it several times to extract just over 3 years of data lol, has worked 100% fine, it can take a long while to do a whole folder that is full to the brim. My club one took well over half an hour, so don't worry if seems to take forever on large amounts. Can confirm it is running by looking in the task manager ;)

I also like that it removes all those start and stop flags ::g
