Hi, no unfortunately, apart from holding down the pin-pointer button that is non-motion. The only other compromise on difficult spots to detect depth wise is to switch to relic mode, this is a see all deep all metal mode setting, but it is still in motion detect.

if you look in the menu options there should be a pinpont lock so you dont need to hold it down all the time ::g

A friend of mine asked me and I was not sure. Some detectors have it. May be for extra depth?

IF that is a general question the subject of motion verses non motion detectors was raised a bit back viewtopic.php?f=10&t=97456& and there are some useful posts and links that explain everything (hopefully).
