I tried it last weekend and it worked quite well for me with the settings for it's discrimination set with Disc 1 on number 1 and Disc 2 set on number 5. As I said I was quite happy with this but i did a test yesterday and found that Disc 2 knocked my gold ring out at 4.5 so I was wondering if you guys thought that I might have set Disc 2 a little bit high.
Therefore my question is: What settings do you guys that are operating a CS5MX use please?
I would welcome your advice, hints any tips for the CS5MX that you feel that can offer.

I have moved your post into the Cscope forum as you are more likely to get a response from people in the know

I would detect, get a target then just switch between 1 & 2 to check.
Sometime you had to take out a spade of soil and rescan.
Much depends on the ground you are searching though.
