My personal opinion is buy rechargables
Yes you pay at the start, but over the long term you will save
Take a look at 4 Eneloop Pro rechargables

I use the cheapest known brand in home and bargain. Prices vary between £1-£1.5 for 10

usually last 4 days of around 8 hours in a F1265X

don't buy the blue ones though there rubbish.

Good to know guys.
I use rechargeable power packs in my Whites XLT but the Garrett AT max that Santa is bringing me takes 4 AAs - so batteries are on my radar at the moment.
I’ll probably go for a power pack sooner rather than later but Christmas is not the time to be buying things for yourself - so my wife tells me!😂
Cheers

I used a zinc rechargeable which were 1.6 voits batteries in in my old minelab I put 7 in as 8 battery's would be to many to run in the minelab power and it worked fine. ::g

Have decided to go with the Eneloop Pro as suggested. Looks a very cost effective option.
In the Amazon basket!!!

Varta batteries are great, out performed the copper tops by days in the field. And they’re cheaper.
