Makro Kruzer

Post by Toonbart » Tue Jan 23, 2018 9:14 pm

Does anyone know if this is coming to the UK or is it a US version only.

Apologies if I’ve missed the thread on it.

Cheers

Does the Multi run the 3 frequencies simultaneously?

I quite like the direction that Makro/Nokta are heading, I hear good things from users of their machines, and I think this is important for a company, because good reports spread quickly out on the field ::g

E.U.D (Extra Underground Depth) function - is this going to be like a deep/boost mode that the Fisher F75 had?

Just my thoughts:-
I think it will prove to be the same sort of feature we also saw on the 'Racer2' machine. As with any machine that has this function, it poses the question of why it's not incorporated into the normal search mode, after all it seems to be what most detectorists are looking for in any machine.

It's just possible that it's a 'user option' which is a little too sensitive for general detecting but can be brought into play given the right conditions and circumstances as with 'larger coils'. ::g

The "Deep" mode on the Makro Racer 2 requires a slower swing than the other modes to get the best out of it, so if on a dig where you wanted to cover the maximum amount of ground you would use one of the other standard modes, while if on your own permission you might want to get the maximum finds and not be concerned about taking extra time so could use the "deep" mode so this is possibly why its not incorporated into the other modes.

IF, repeat IF, E.U.D (Extra Underground Depth) function is the same as "Deep" mode why dont they just call it that?.

Exactly, but I suspect any 'new' feature adds a little 'Kudos' to a machine. Cheers Evan ::g ss47

Hi Evan, from what I have seen on a video sent over by Dilek at Makro its not only like the Deep mode on the other models, it shows how a fairly big hot rock was placed over a coin which could no longer be picked up with scanning in normal modes, then the E.U.D was applied and it could easily pick the coin up ::g

Thats very interesting, and sounds impressive. ::g Also explains the different name as its not just "deep mode"
On the Racer 2 I find the "deep mode" very useful for trying to give a better ID on the iffy "do I dig or not" signals, its also very useful for searching those productive areas where you are willing to spend extra time to get a bit extra depth. If the EUD function can do that AND find items that are masked by hot rocks it will be a very useful function for some users ::g

I am lucky in that on my permissions hot rocks are not a problem but I know that for some people they are so this sounds a very useful option for those sites.

I saw the Makro Kruzer in use today for the first time and had a word with the user.

Admittedly he had only used it a couple of times previously but he was impressed with it and said it was very good at finding small targets and seemed to have good depth.

OK not a scientific test and user still had to learn to get the best out of it but unbaised feedback from somebody with no connection with the manufacturer unlike a lot of the videos you see!.

nothing much to tell atm pal, its not been out the house. seems well made, plenty of settings to mess with. nicely balanced dosent feel like 3lb.

the headphones are easy to pair and keep there settings when switched off, over the ear type rather than on ear, sounds clear not muffled.

so far im quiet pleased with it screen and setting very easy to navigate no trouble finding anything (nothing hidden).

just put in the settings on this thread, but wont get out till weekend now weather permitting as im back in work tomorrow. if anyone is thinking of getting one i dont think you will be disappointed but cant comment yet on how she performs ::g

neil.
