Nokta fors core Greenock

Post by Jbeat1888 » Sun Apr 07, 2019 9:27 pm

Hello. I'm looking for some advice and tips. I've recently purchased a fors core and still trying to get my head round it I'm running it on 3 tone d3 mode with sensitivity between 60 and 80 and got my discrimination at 40 and I'm still hitting iron in the 80s and sometimes these sound like good signals. Is this a fault with my settings or is the machine falsing? Any help or info would be appreciated I've went from a whites prizm 4 to this and I'm struggling with it. Although I've only had it out 4 times I've had 2 Vicki penny's and an Australian Georgie penny but more rubbish to the point I'm getting frustrated with it.

Hi jbeat the way I run my fors core is d2 dic10 sentivety 50
The reason for this is I found d2 much more sentive to the small
Stuff than d3& it is deeper!! I have never found any reason
To run the sentivety over 70(it will start falsing when you start
Going above that) start at 50 and up it when you start getting
The feel for the machine! I dig all signals above 45 ,hammy penny's
Come In at 52,cut halfs quarters & gold below that, coke comes in
At 42_45 and my ground is full of the stuff that's way I don't dig below 45
If you don't have the same problem I have dig everything above 40!!
The fors core is a great machine as you will find out for yourself you
Have no need to run the machine to hot which will make it easier for
You to pick out the iron falsing!!
Good luck with your new machine any other questions just ask and
I'll be more than happy to help

Hello Raymond. Thanks for the reply. I will be hopefully out on the fields this week your points are noted and I'll be running the core at your settings and I'll let you know how I get on.

I bought my Fors Core, some years ago, on recommendation from a friend. One thing he did say was that "you'll dig a lot of iron". He was right. But it is worth it for the performance.

Doyoudigitman's advice is spot on, and exactly my experience. Any machine will be fooled by big rusty iron, but if you follow his advice you should be able to avoid most of the annoying little bits.

I have used mine in detecting lessons for children, and it is ideal for that especially with the 6" coil.

Good hunting
