Re: The Nokta Makro Simplex has arrived
I would say they should drop the Racer and Kruzer entirely, drop the price of the Anfibio's by about £150 to £200 and then bring out a true Sim Multi frequency machine at the £900 price point...

I would go for a Nokta Makro Sim multi frequency machine in a heartbeat! Can they do it? Is there some sort of patent on that tech which is why no one else apart from the big M has done it?

Re: The Nokta Makro Simplex has arrived
They mentioned at Detectival last year that they was going to develop a multi frequency machine and ask detectorists for input off them as to what they wanted on it.

Re: The Nokta Makro Simplex has arrived

Re: The Nokta Makro Simplex has arrived
I also have tinnitus and thought headphones would become a problem but as the years have gone by it doesn't seem to have been an issue. I always search in silent mode and wear on ear headphones. That way I don't have a constant threshold whine going on in my ears and I can also hear background noise.
Anyway, never used the vibrating handle function on my racer and Impact

Re: The Nokta Makro Simplex has arrived
why is there no release date for the simplex yet?????? come on already
Re: The Nokta Makro Simplex has arrived
Iron separation is the most important feature , forget depth and even sensitivity.
How clean a detector can see a target through ground audio and iron audio is the goal,
I’ve seen the simplex on depth and it seems impressive if depth is your thing, but I’ve not seen it on recovery or separation .
Will be interceding to see

Re: The Nokta Makro Simplex has arrived
Im a bit fed up with the hype, lack of clarity with release date and then seeing the machines appear online with 'popular' youtuber's who in some cases do not seem very skilled or knowledgeable?? Or am I jealous?

Re: The Nokta Makro Simplex has arrived
From a technical perspective does anyone know how the Simplex is apparently detecting such deep targets?PinkFloyd wrote: ↑Thu Oct 03, 2019 6:54 amIron separation is the most important feature , forget depth and even sensitivity.

Re: The Nokta Makro Simplex has arrived
The depth dosnt seem to be game changing , but does seem good for a relatively cheap machine .
Running 12 kHz is I guess a middle of the ground frequency , not ideal for the thin silver hammered but capable non the less
Very best of luck with it

Re: The Nokta Makro Simplex has arrived
Looks to be a bargain and it will shake up the lower to mid end of the detector market, some online tests (which you should not take to be 100% gospel!) show it the be a potential good performer.
I have a Racer 2 which is a good machine, but I now cannot see where this might sit in the Makro range now?

Re: The Nokta Makro Simplex has arrived
I have the Racer 2 as well and think the Simplex will make it and most of Makro's mid range machines redundant...if the Simplex lives up to the hype, Makro might as well withdraw all their other machines apart from the the Anfibio MF and Gold....Ten pence! wrote: ↑Thu Oct 03, 2019 11:11 pmLooks to be a bargain and it will shake up the lower to mid end of the detector market, some online tests (which you should not take to be 100% gospel!) show it the be a potential good performer.

Re: The Nokta Makro Simplex has arrived
My never used one conclusion purely from videos and people who have used one is, it’s a fantastic machine for the many many detectorists who just like to switch on and detect without too much messing about with settings and tweaking .
Straight from the box it seems like it’s a winner for very little money

Re: The Nokta Makro Simplex has arrived
The Simplex has no adjustable Tone Break, Iron Audio or special Deep Mode. And only limited gain and notch setting, I think it's a very good beginner machine, but not more...

Re: The Nokta Makro Simplex has arrived
Thanks for that...the hype doesn't mention the lack of Tone Break, Iron Audio or special Deep Mode...as you say, that is going to stop it competing to the higher machines...

Re: The Nokta Makro Simplex has arrived
Hold on a minute, it is called the simplex, as in simple to use, it is not trying to compete with the high end machines, it is trying to be the best beginners machine, so in this machine "less is more" also lets look at the price point, is it the same price as high function machines? well, I think we can all agree it is not!
The Simplex is being marketed as a "Beginners detector, that is also suitable for the more experienced detectorist" Nothing more, nothing less. Can you find another machine on the market with all the included specs, for the same price? No, I thought not.
For the price point this is a blinding machine, and one I would think that every detectorist would wish they could have had when they first started out. I for one can't wait to have a swing with one, and I shall be asking Sid, if I can try his next time we are on the same digging field

True, but Facebook is already awash with claims that it's soooo much better than other, far more expensive, machines. This, in spite of the fact that very few have received one, and even fewer have had the opportunity to use one yet
