An interesting watch and much better than most detector A vs detector B vids on YouTube. I was surprised just how little difference there was between the machines and how that massive coil was struggling with the hoard test against the stock coil. I've not used either machines so I can't add any personal experiences.

The crazy goats are a nice touch too!!!

Nicely done, cheers Alex ::g

i know what you mean about the hoard test, you automatically think big coil good for hoards but in actual fact i mostly use them to find the small stuff on my hunted out sites.
i always used to rubbish test beds but im really learning a lot much from it.

Thanks for sharing your videos mate ::g great little test, I was very pleased to see that when you think about the price difference between the two machines there really was not a lot of difference in the infield performance with the right coil. Apart from not being able to take my E-trac swimming with me like you could with the CTX3030 after watching your videos I'm now glad I made the choice of going for the less expensive machine that seems to perform almost as good ::g
