Evolution Pro Cut Spade Cover

Post by Emily » Fri Jun 08, 2018 11:11 pm

Hello :)

I recently purchased the Evolution Pro Cut Shovel and LOVE it!! I had it powder coated, extended and even added toggles to hold a rope for my shoulder. :)

It is the version with teeth though, and thought it looked quite lethal and could wreck anything that may accidentally catch on the unforgiving blades. To make this more health and safety conscious, I decided to make a cover for it, out of some leather that I had lying around.

I did this so the blades are protected, but so it can also be easily stored and is no risk to anything or anyone. :) I even added a perfectly fitting strap with poppers so that the cover will not accidentally fall off. :)

I hope you all like it. If anyone wants one, just give me a shout. :)

You have done a great job on that ::g although take it from me the blade does not need protecting.
Mine has been used in heavy flint infested ground and even dug several shotties from in amongst what must have been a brick wall that had been demolished and then buried. It really looks like it’s been through the wars but it’s all superficial and reckon it will see me out.

That said it is a great idea for as you say protecting everything else from it,especially when it’s in the car.
Your spade itself looks really great, I wish I had had mine powder coated.

Wow very nice Emily l;. I might be interested in one of those. My one (different make but pretty much identical) lives in my boot but I do worry about what it could do to the many pairs of shoes I seem to have in there too.

1st world women’s issues eh? x;

PM me details on cost, etc? Thank you :-*

20 Drawers! That sounds like a nice old apothecary chest? If it is, that'll make one heck of a finds cabinet! :D ss47
