I have the pleasure to introduce the first in the world Caron Fiber composite search coils manufactured for Induction Balance metal detector. The coil on the pictures below is 41" in diameter and weight 1.4 kg. Sampling frequency 5.3kHz.

Coming soon from our Carbon Fiber series search coils are 20"DD and 26"DD.

For comparison 41" concentric next to 13"DD.

Further technical information will be available soon.

That's a big boy! However, the weight is very good, ::g as a comparison the Coiltek Goldhunting coil 1000mmx510mm weighs in at 2.346kg and isn't as big!

For myself I am interested in the 20" and look forward to its introduction so I had better start saving up my pennies or should I say pounds :))

Not only that. Many treasure hunters say that the most often ancient hoard size is about 1 kg of coins give or take some. This 41" coil can hit one of those small hoards easily at 30" in the ground.
As much as it may sound unbelievable it also finds individual coins deeper than anything else.

Shame no prices on the 22 and 26 coils ..the 45 coil could negate the xp hoardhunter if they don't get their skates on...

AMENDMENT! There was a mistake in the measurement units for the big coil. It was stated to be 45", but in actual fact is 41" or approx 104 cm.
The sizes mention for the coming DD coils as 20"DD and 26"DD are correct.

I have also corrected the mistake in my previous posts.

The new 20"DD Carbon Fiber search coil is on the way. The prototype weight is only 690 grams, which is the same as our 13"DD coil.
Nexus Standard MP with 20"DD coil.

20"DD and 13"DD for comparison.

Well it's a 'first' for Nexus so all credit to them. ::g However, I can't help wonder if this will raise concerns from Archaeological circles due to the depth claims made and it's potential relevance to the sub strata below the plough-line - (only playing the Devil's Advocate).

Of course, by the majority of detectorist's, It will be seen as a 'hoard seeking' accessory so not really designed or indeed suitable for 'general detecting' - (but there will be some who 'must have'). :-O

If I had any concerns at all, it would be the effect of my clumsy feet being anywhere near it! :D Regards ss47

Yes. The coins are like a golden chain. Hard to find. Best is Ultima coil.
Nexus standard 1 meter carbon fiber concentric search coil will be even better !!!
5 liters of coins at a depth of 60 cm in the ground.

I do not understand why the link is put in, it doesn't appear to be anything to do with detecting? Maybe I am missing something?

I believe the link is there to illustrate what kind of coins were used in his test.
