Order Nexus MP with 1m Carbon Fiber coil

Post by toni » Wed May 10, 2017 7:47 am

Hi Nexus,
Can already be ordered Nexus MP with 1m Carbon Fiber coil?
-What is the price ?
-VCO option? I am used to.
- Switch off DDM – Definite Discrimination Meter? Night Search.
- approx. Production date?
Well thank you.
Because I'm shocked by the reports (hoard of coins buried)!
90% of treasures are tiny or coins.Except Bronze Age.

According to. Coins buried are still in the ground.
We are only looking for lost coins.
Where the Ultima was not yet. MP 1m will probably be better.
What big coils are for MP?

Hi Toni.

Nexus MP with 1 meter concentric Carbon Fiber coil will be available to order in a very short time.
Estimated production time for one 1 meter coil is 2 weeks minimum.

The Nexus MP can be supplied with ll custom requirements related to the use of 1 meter search coil, like DDM off option, VCO instead of Dual Tone.

MP is considerably more stable than Ultima to ground due to the new electronic development involved. For this reason will give better chances for discovery of deep items.

Nexus has promised me an MP with 1m coil for the month of July. I am looking forward to it since I will have the opportunity to compare and I believe also make use of it.
I have owned the Standard SE, Exselsior and Ultima. I have also owned approximately 20 other deep-searching metal detectors. Pulse detectors, various two-box detectors and OKM detectors were among them.
I have focused on deep searching for non-ferrous metals for approximately 25 years. Deep searching is quite a different adventure! I was no longer satisfied with waiting each year what the plough may turn up and scratch the surface like a chicken. Surface searching is like a rabbit hunt. We can shoot many rabbits each year. Deep searching is like a bear hunt. You can only get one or two bears per year. You simply have to persevere and have a good quality detector.
My favourite deep-searching detector currently is the Nexus Ultima. I will see what the Nexus MP with 1m can do. The ingenious two-box from a little-known manufacturer holds the second position. This is why I am sure that being well informed also about surface metal detectors is important, as is not succumbing to fashion or following others. You need to have your own opinion and recognise also little-known manufacturers. Avoid behaving like a football fan, recognise quality instead.

That's a very interesting post Toni. I would imagine you have had some very good finds! What sort of digging tools do you take with you? Digging deep holes is one way of keeping fit! Many thanks for the post.

Hi Toni, I am interested to hear about your detecting techniques with the Nexus Ultima. Although I do have the Ultima I am not very experienced with it.

Also when you have received and used the Nexus MP with the 1m coil, I will be very interested to hear your comments on it.

Hi Filternozzle,
At least it’s dead season or else I’d really be missing my Nexus Ultima detector. I had to sell it so I could buy the Nexus MP 1m. I hope that wasn’t a mistake, it would be great if the MP had at least 10% better performance in one of its functions. That would be really fantastic, I could go back over some old places. I’d be all set with locations for a few years, which is great because good places are getting harder to come by.
I know that iron can be interesting too, but 90% of it is from WWII and I’m not interested in that. I specialise in non-ferrous metal. I’m a nocturnal loner. If I find an interesting signal, I jab in a stick that I’ve wrapped with reflective material. Then I search with night vision binoculars with IRI. Of course I also use a spade and 6” reel. I didn’t mess around much with the Ultima settings. I always had it set to maximum sensitivity, discrimination at 12 o’clock, threshold off, VCO on. If there was any interference, I set it to silent motion.
