Getting a CS4PI ??

I am hoping to become the owner of a new CS4PI in the new year and just want some confirmation it's the best for the price? I got my first detector just over a year ago now, a Viking V6 and it has performed brilliantly on my local beach here in Scotland. I want a dedicated beach detector and everything is pointing to the CS4PI, am I making the right choice?

It's a very popular machine for the beach, reasonable price and goes very deep but as it's pulse induction with no descrimination setting you would need to dig all target signals which can be hard going for some.
Best of luck in whatever you decide on ::g

Hi Raptorman,
I bought a CS4PI last year and have used it on my local beaches and on a pasture. On the beach it was a case of be prepared to dig very deep. Some targets with very strong signals were too deep for me to dig with a short shovel so I bought a trenching spade, even then some were impossible in running sand. But it is a fantastic machine and misses nothing. On the pasture it found everything from pieces of foil I could hardly see to a car wheel. I spent 2 hours and never moved more than a few metres. I think it is an old land fill. My Fisher F22 missed some of the targets the CS nearly blew my ears off on.
If you dig everthing like I do it's a great inexpensive machine.

Awesome guys thanks for that. Am I right in thinking that with practice and experience it will be possible to tell the size of an object from the tone the machine gives? I can usually tell when I am on a coin with the Viking from the short sharp tone I get.

Cheers for that, as much as I want it I shall hold off until I know the features and benefits of the new model.
