Yuletide Orders

Post by thefiggis » Sun Dec 23, 2018 4:58 pm

It has been noted by admin that there has been a distinct air of frivolity creeping in over the past few days. Please note that this must be maintained, if not increased, until the yuletide festivities are complete. At the very least. No excuses, and expect a stern PM if anything remotely Grinch-like is spotted in your post.

You have been warned.

So on that note, thanks to everyone for maintaining the friendly, helpful atmosphere we're famous for on here over the past year. You really are a cracking bunch and have shared knowledge, advice, stories and stunning finds so very freely. Well-behaved, an all, which has resulted in the mod lounge mainly consisting of bickering over who's had more than their fair share of black jelly beans (Blackadder, by the way - it's always Blackadder).

Do have yourselves a lovely time, and here's wishing you all you'd wish yourselves for 2019.

::g

Mike, Bruce, Liam, Dave, Cath, Eric & John

Thank you very much John. I have left a a bottle of Gordon's under the tree for you (if it is not there, you may consider a thrashing with bough of holly for Jenks).

A serious festive 'thank you' to you, Mike, Bruce, Liam, Dave, Cath and Eric for maintaining a forum which adds so much to the enjoyment of detecting! On a personal note: you have spawned at least one new club (CAMDC) in 2018 and Mike has very kindly allowed us to use the facility for our own sub-forum.

Power to your collective elbows in 2019!

Orders received and duly ignored.

Huge thanks to all Mods (and Rockers) for keeping this Forum on track and making it without doubt the Zenith of MD Forums on the interweb thingy.

I had to buy much alcohol and sample a little because Christmas has its unalienable traditions.

Happy Christmas all :)

Ho yus, ain't it just, Phil? Hence having to replace six bottles of "xmas stock" gin. So far.

Thank you team for keeping this site running, and also keeping us on the narrow path to sanity. I would like also to thank all those who replied to my questions, making this site a very friendly family of likeminded people. Must mention those who imparted their knowledge on this site too. So easy sometimes to keep things close your chest.
Having only started this hobby in June I have been amazed at the friendly manner and help, when at digs. The usual question"What programme are you using?" With the reply " oh if you change this and that and save it you might find a difference". They then help you put it on your machine, should you have difficulty. Also people have shown me what they have found and allowed me to handle the item. Wonderful. Long may it continue.
Happy Christmas and good luck with finds in 2019.
Paul.

If I may add my appreciation, many thanks to all on here for being so entertaining and informative, and especially the mods who keep it running so smoothly. I've only been on here about a year and it's benefitted me enormously, particularly since it's allowed me to start a small club with a great bunch of people. Looking forward to what 2019 brings. Have a cool yule one and all. -=+:-P
