I have been using 400i for a month now been out alot with it. On some signals it ding a very nice high tone even in iron audio no chatter, then u dig then dig the plug the signal fails. I think this if due to the depth and the iron content plus coke as often I pull out coke in the same holes
Many thanks Chris

Get a similar problem with the Ace 250 when there is coke in the ground. You can get a nice silver signal and a short sharp audible tone which for me usually means it's coke. However I nearly always dig them anyway as I've found the odd find in the plug anyway.

Hard to say without being there
But we all dig signals that turn out to be either coke or iron
Iron bent at 90 degrees or doughnut shaped being the most common.

On the surface coke will give a iron buzz if you have iron audio turned on.

hello, par for the course, certain types of iron like horse shoes and coke will give a signal, with some detectors you could avoid but with a high tone of coke its just dig and see, try the iron and coke test with a silver coin, if you check out the other detectors page and golden mask 1 + UK i did such a test with iron, i do not have much coke where i detect so i would dig any way,
